What the site offers
Free Japanese lessons, word lists with Nepali and English meanings, grammar explanations, real-life scenes, quizzes, mock tests, and study guides for the JLPT (N5–N1) and JFT-Basic. Everything is free to read and use; the only optional sign-up is the email newsletter.
Study help, not an official source
The lessons here are study support, written to help you prepare. Grow with Kitty is not affiliated with the organisers of the JLPT (the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services) or the JFT-Basic (the Japan Foundation / Prometric). Exam dates, fees, rules, and results are decided by those organisers — always check the official JLPT and JFT-Basic websites for information you rely on.
No promise of results
We work hard to keep the content accurate and useful, but Japanese ability and exam results depend on many things, including your own practice. Using this site does not guarantee any exam result, visa outcome, or job.
Using the content
You may use everything on this site freely for your own learning, and you are welcome to share links to pages and lessons.
Please do not copy whole lessons, word lists, or pages to republish them elsewhere or sell them, and do not scrape the site in bulk. Teachers who would like to use materials in class, and anyone interested in a collaboration, please get in touch first — we are usually happy to help.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we send lessons, resources, and updates by email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. The privacy policy explains what we collect and how it is handled.
Links and advertising
The site links to TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and other platforms. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control.
The English pages of this site may show ads served by Google AdSense. The Nepali-language pages (/np/) do not carry ads.
Availability and responsibility
The site is provided "as is". Pages may change, move, or be removed as lessons are improved, and the site may occasionally be unavailable. Mistakes in study content can happen despite our checking; if you spot one, telling us helps every learner. To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on the site's study content.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
