「V plain form + のを 知って いますか」asks "do you know that ~?". の turns the sentence into a noun and を makes it the object of 知ります. Any tense works inside — both 結婚する and 結婚した are fine. Learn the answers by heart: if you know, 「はい、知って います」; if you do not, 「いいえ、知りません」. **知って いません is wrong** — this is a very common mistake. To say you did not know at the time, use 「知りませんでした」.
