Meaning
- 「V plain form + のを 知って いますか」asks "do you know that ~?".
- の turns the sentence into a noun and を makes it the object of 知ります.
How to attach
Any tense works inside — both 結婚する and 結婚した are fine.
Watch out
- Learn the answers by heart: if you know, 「はい、知って います」; if you do not, 「いいえ、知りません」.
- 知って いません is wrong — this is a very common mistake.
- To say you did not know at the time, use 「知りませんでした」.
