V ながら V (V-nagara V) — While doing ~, do ~

Used when one person does two things at the same time.

Formula (सूत्र ढाँचा)

V1 drop ます
ながら while doing
V2 the main action

Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)

Use 「ながら」when one person does two things at once. Drop ます and add ながら to what is left: 聞きます → 聞き → 聞きながら. Remember two things. **1)** Both actions must be done by the same person. You cannot use ながら to join what two different people do. **2)** The **second** verb is the main one. 音楽を 聞きながら 勉強します means studying is the main act and the music is going on alongside. Swap them and the meaning changes.
