V dictionary form / N の + 予定です (V-jisho / N no + yotei desu) — It is scheduled to ~
The pattern for something already fixed on the calendar.
Formula (सूत्र ढाँचा)
Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)
「〜予定です」says that a date, a time or a programme is already fixed. With a verb, attach it straight to the dictionary form — 出張する → 出張する 予定です. With a noun you need の in between — 休み → 休みの 予定です. This is the difference from 〜つもりです: つもり is a decision in my head and can change, while 予定 is a programme the company or the group has already fixed. So do not use 予定 for a vague wish to go somewhere. Telling your boss when a job will finish, 予定です is the right choice, because it sounds settled.
