命令形・禁止形の 使い方 (meireikei / kinshikei no tsukaikata) — Where these forms are actually used
These forms are for reading — not for speaking at work.
Formula (सूत्र ढाँचा)
Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)
命令形 and 禁止形 carry zero politeness, so the places they fit are few: signs and warnings (「止まれ」「入るな」), cheering in sport (「がんばれ」), real danger (「危ない、止まれ」), angry speech, and a man talking to a younger person he is close to. That is the whole list. At work, never use these with a 店長, a 課長, or any 先輩 — saying it even once damages the relationship. For a Nepali worker these forms are for reading, not speaking: factory, station and road signs are written in exactly these forms. When you speak, always use 「〜て ください」or 「〜て いただけませんか」.

「見ろ」is the imperative, 「見るな」is the prohibitive, and 「見なさい」carries an "I am above you" feeling. Never say any of the three to a 店長, a 課長 or a 先輩 — saying it even once damages the relationship. These forms are for reading on signs, exam papers and instructions. When you speak, always 「見て いただけませんか」.
