Vなければなりません (V-nakereba narimasen) — must / have to

Expressing obligation and necessity.

Formula (सूत्र ढाँचा)

Verb Vない [い] + ければなりません

"Must do" — Japanese builds it as "it won't do not to do".

Cut the final い of the ない-form, add ければ, then なりません: 飲まない ──> 飲まなけれ ──> 飲まなければ ──> 飲まなければなりません (must drink).
It looks long, but there are only two pieces: [ない ➔ なければ] + なりません.
In speech you will hear the short 〜なきゃ／〜ないと, but learn the full form at N5.

毎日日本語をべんきょうしなければなりません。

まいにちにほんごをべんきょうしなければなりません。

I must study Japanese every day.

How it is built (कसरी बन्यो) 毎日 ──> 日本語を ──> べんきょうする ──> しない ──> [ - ❌ い ] [ + ければ ] ──> しなければ ──> [ + なりません ] ──> I must study.

あしたはやくおきなければなりません。

ashita hayaku okinakereba narimasen.

I must wake up early tomorrow.

How it is built (कसरी बन्यो) あした ──> はやく ──> おきる (Group 2) ──> おきない ──> [ - ❌ い ] [ + ければ ] ──> おきなければ ──> [ + なりません ] ──> I must get up early.

くすりを飲まなければなりません。

くすりをのまなければなりません。

I must take medicine.

How it is built (कसरी बन्यो) くすりを ──> 飲む (む ➔ ま) ──> 飲まない ──> [ - ❌ い ] [ + ければ ] ──> 飲まなければ ──> [ + なりません ] ──> I must take medicine.
