Vなくてもいいです (V-nakute mo ii desu) — don't have to

Formula (सूत्र ढाँचा)

Vなくても nai → nakutemo
いいです

Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)

Drop the final い of the nai-form and add くてもいいです to mean 'don't have to'. It is the opposite of なければなりません ('must'). e.g. tabenai → tabenakutemo ii desu.

Examples (उदाहरणहरू)

あした来なくてもいいです

あした来なくてもいいです。

ashita konakutemo ii desu.

You don't have to come tomorrow.

今日べんきょうしなくてもいいです

今日べんきょうしなくてもいいです。

kyou benkyou shinakutemo ii desu.

You don't have to study today.

ぜんぶ食べなくてもいいです

ぜんぶ食べなくてもいいです。

zenbu tabenakutemo ii desu.

You don't have to eat everything.
