When to use it
"On Sundays I do things like reading and listening to music" — when you give two or three samples out of many activities.
Meaning
Like や (and so on) in Lesson 10 — not only these, I do other things too.
How to attach
- The た-form + り: 読んだ ──> 読んだり, 聞いた ──> 聞いたり, then します at the end.
- For the past, change the final します to しました.
Versus what you know
Joining with て in Lesson 16 was in order; たり〜たり has no order, just samples.
