これ・それ・あれ (kore / sore / are) — this / that / that over there
Three words for pointing at things — they stand alone, and a particle such as は, も or を comes right after.

Meaning
- A thing in your hand or near you is これ (this).
- それ = the thing near the person you are talking to (that).
- あれ = the thing far from both of you (that over there).
How to attach
- All three stand alone like nouns, and a particle comes right after them — usually は (これは、それは、あれは), but も and を can follow too (それも, これを).
- To ask "What is this / that?", use exactly this pattern: [これ／それ／あれ] + は + 何(なん)ですか？ — これは何ですか (What is this?).
Watch out
- A noun never attaches directly after them (これペン ❌).
- To attach a noun you need この／その／あの — that is the next topic.

あれは車です。
あれはくるまです。
That over there is a car.
How it is built (कसरी बन्यो) A thing far from both of us ➔ あれ (that over there) ──> [ + は ✅ ] ──> あれは ──> [ + 車です ] ──> あれは車です (that over there is a car).
