いつ asks "when" about time. It comes at the start, and the question marker か is added at the end: いつ日本へ行きますか = "When do you go to Japan?" Important — no particle (は, を, に) follows いつ. Answers use a time word like 明日 (ashita = tomorrow) or あさって (asatte = the day after tomorrow).
