N がわかります (N ga wakarimasu) — to understand / know

To say you understand or know something.

Meaning

To say "I understand / I know", use わかります, and the thing understood takes が, not を: 日本語がわかります (I understand Japanese).
In Nepali "मलाई जापानी बुझिन्छ" the language is what "gets understood", nobody "does understanding" to it.
Japanese thinks the same way, hence が.

Watch out

日本語をわかります ❌ is a common beginner mistake; the moment you see わかります, think が.
