When to use it
When you complain to a friend and list the bad points: 「あの店は高いしまずい。おまけに、サービスも悪い」.
Meaning
「おまけに」= 'on top of that' — piles one more thing onto what you said, usually when listing bad points.
How to attach
- It starts the sentence, with a 「、」after it
- It also comes mid-sentence after 「〜し、」: 寒いし、おまけに雨も降ってきた.
- The next sentence often has 「も」: 電車も止まった.
