    N N1 + から + N2 + にかけて

    Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)

    When to use it

You meet it constantly in weather reports, news and descriptions of regions.

    Meaning

「〜から〜にかけて」marks a stretch of time or space that spreads out: 「夜から朝にかけて、雪が降った」= it snowed from night through to morning.

    Versus what you know

N5It differs from 「〜から〜まで」— まで gives exact limits (「9時から5時まで」), while にかけて gives a vague span, "somewhere across this range".

It does not fit where the times are precise.
