Formula (सूत्र ढाँचा)
Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)
Put a question word (何・どこ・いつ・だれ・どう) together with 「〜たら いいですか」to ask for advice. How to build it: take the た form of the verb and add ら (買う → 買った → 買ったら). Literally it is "would it be good if I did this?", but in practice it means "what should I do?". It is very useful for asking for instructions at work. The answer is usually 〜たら いいですよ or 〜てください.
