〜だけで (~dake de) — Just by doing that
The pattern for saying the result came from that much alone, with nothing else needed.

だけ means "only" and で means "with that, by that means", so together they give "just by doing that": 見ただけで 分かりました = "I understood just by looking". With a verb it attaches to the plain form (普通形) — 見た だけで, 書く だけで. With a noun it attaches directly — この カードだけで. What follows is an easy or surprising result: 分かります, いい です, できます. だけ on its own just narrows the amount (五分だけ 休みます = I rest for only five minutes); it is で that adds the "that alone was enough" meaning. Which to pick? Use だけ to narrow an amount. Use だけで to say that much alone did the job.
