Add おきに after an amount of time or length: この バスは 十分おきに 来ます = "this bus comes every ten minutes". It also works for distance, as in 三メートルおきに 木が あります. **There is a big trap here — おきに means you leave that much of a gap in between**, so 一日おきに is not every day; it is every other day. Take it on Thursday and the next time is Saturday. For every day you must say 毎日. In the same way 一週間おきに means skipping a week, that is once every two weeks. Which to pick? Use おきに when there is a gap in between. Use 毎〜 when there is no gap and it is every single time.
