い-adj 〜く / な-adj 〜に + V (i-adj ~ku / na-adj ~ni + V) — Saying how the action is done
It tells how the action is done — early, quietly, big.
Formula (सूत्र ढाँचा)
Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)
When an adjective goes with a verb, it becomes the word that says "how". For an い-adjective, い → く (早い → 早く); for a な-adjective, add に (静か → 静かに); then put the verb: 早く 起きます, 静かに 話します. いい becomes よく — that one has to be memorised. This is the same 〜く / 〜に shape as the third point; the only difference is what follows. With します it changes the state of a thing; with any other verb it says how the action was done. 早く 起きます = I get up early, 音を 小さく します = I turn the sound down.
