Excess, Ease & Change
- 1 V ます-form / い-adj / な-adj + すぎます V-masu-stem / i-adj / na-adj + sugimasu Too much — past the right amount The amount has gone past what is right — and that feels bad, not good.
- 2 V ます-form + やすいです / にくいです V-masu-stem + yasui desu / nikui desu Easy to do / hard to do A quality of the thing itself — using it turns out easy, or turns out hard.
- 3 い-adj 〜く / な-adj・N 〜に + します i-adj ~ku / na-adj, N ~ni + shimasu Making something turn out that way A person deliberately changes the state of something — it did not change on its own.
- 4 N に します N ni shimasu I will go with this one What you say when you pick one option out of several — heard most often when ordering in a restaurant.
- 5 い-adj 〜く / な-adj 〜に + V i-adj ~ku / na-adj ~ni + V Saying how the action is done It tells how the action is done — early, quietly, big.
- 6 V ます-form + 方（かた） V-masu-stem + kata The way to do it The way of doing something — the "how do I do this?" part.
