見えます / 聞こえます (miemasu / kikoemasu) — Can see / can hear (naturally)
Things that reach your eyes and ears without you trying.
Formula (सूत्र ढाँचा)
Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)
見えます and 聞こえます mean something is visible or audible on its own — you do not try, it simply reaches your eyes or ears. 見られます/聞けます is about opportunity instead: with a ticket you 見られます a film, with free time you 聞けます a song. The easy split — 見えます = you open your eyes and it is there; 見られます = you get the chance to watch. Both take が: 海が 見えます, 音が 聞こえます. The negatives are 見えません/聞こえません.
