- 2 可能形（2グループ） kanoukei (2 guruupu) Potential form — Group 2
- 3 可能形（3グループ） kanoukei (3 guruupu) Potential form — Group 3 (irregular)
- 4 N が + 可能形 N ga + kanoukei を becomes が with the potential form
- 5 見えます / 聞こえます miemasu / kikoemasu Can see / can hear (naturally)
- 6 できます dekimasu Is possible / is finished, is ready
- 7 は（対比） wa (taihi) は setting two things against each other
- 8 数量 + も suuryou + mo As much as! (emphasis on quantity)
- 9 しか 〜ない shika ~nai Only this much (with a feeling of "so little")
