「さすが」is praise meaning "you really are as good as your name says". The most common shape puts a name after it: 「さすが 田中さん」, 「さすが プロ」. You also hear さすがだ (plain) and さすがですね (with です). Note one thing — it carries a hidden "I judged your work and found it good". That is why it lands well on an equal or a junior. **⚠️ The danger:** saying 「さすが 店長」to a 店長, a 課長 or a 先輩 is risky — it sounds like you are scoring them, or flattering them. When someone above you does good work and you want to say something, say 「勉強に なりました」or 「ありがとうございます」. A line like 「さすが 田中さん」belongs with same-age 同僚 and friends.
