それで (sorede) — And so, that is why
What came before is the reason; what comes after is the result.
Formula (सूत्र ढाँचा)
Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)
「それで」links a reason to its result — the sentence before is the cause, the one after is the outcome. 熱が ありました。それで 休みました。= "I had a fever. That is why I took the day off." Do not mix it up with それに: それに **adds**, それで shows a **result**. One thing to remember — それで cannot be followed by an order, a request, an invitation or a wish. For "so let us go" それで does not work; you need だから. After それで comes only a fact that happened or will happen.

Knowledge check (मिनी ज्ञान जाँच)
Question: 1/3Which sentence uses それで correctly?
💡 Hint: それに adds another point; それで shows a result.
The road was jammed → so I was late — a real cause and result. For piling on extra points like "spacious" or "cheap" you need それに. And それで cannot lead into an invitation.
Which sentence does NOT work with それで?
💡 Hint: Look for an invitation or a wish.
それで cannot be followed by an invitation, order or request. That needs だから.
Which sentence puts the reason and the result in the right order?
💡 Hint: Before それで is the reason, after it is the result.
The train stopped (reason) → so I was late (result). Flip it and the meaning breaks. それに does not show a reason, and ましょう cannot follow それで.
