どこかで / どこかに (dokoka de / dokoka ni) — Somewhere (with a particle)
After 何か・どこか・だれか, sometimes you need a particle and sometimes you do not.
Formula (सूत्र ढाँचा)
Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)
The particle rule with 何か (something), どこか (somewhere), だれか (someone) is simple. **を and が drop** — 何か 食べましたか (not 何かを), だれか 来ましたか. But **に・で・へ・と stay**, attaching after — どこかで なくしました, どこかに 置きました, だれかに 聞きました. Note the difference: で marks where the action happened (どこかで なくしました = I lost it somewhere), に marks where it ended up (どこかに 置きました = I put it somewhere). Answer a 何か question with yes or no first, then give the detail.

Knowledge check (मिनी ज्ञान जाँच)
Question: 1/3Which sentence correctly asks whether you ate something?
💡 Hint: を drops after 何か.
After 何か or だれか, を and が drop — 「何か 食べましたか」 is right. 「何かを 食べましたか」 is wrong.
Which correctly says "I lost it somewhere"?
💡 Hint: Where the action happened.
で marks where the action happened, and で does not drop.
Which correctly says that you put the bag down somewhere?
💡 Hint: Which particle marks the place where the thing ends up?
置く takes に — the place the thing ends up. で marks where an action happened: 「どこかで なくしました」. Neither に nor で drops.
