Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)

Use 「〜たい」(-tai) to express something you want to do or a wish. The rule is simple: take a verb's polite ます (masu) form, drop ます, and add たい to the remaining stem. For example, 食べます (tabemasu, "eat") becomes 食べたい (tabetai, "want to eat"). This pattern normally expresses the desire of the first person (I); the third person uses a different rule.
