Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)

「V(dict) 前に」means "before doing V." The verb before 前 is always in dictionary form (the action hasn't happened yet). The main action follows. 前 means "before / in front."

Examples (उदाहरणहरू)

ごはんを食べる前に手をあらいます

ごはんを食べる前に、手をあらいます。

gohan o taberu mae ni, te o araimasu.

Before eating, I wash my hands.

ねる前にはをみがきます

ねる前に、はをみがきます。

neru mae ni, ha o migakimasu.

Before sleeping, I brush my teeth.

日本へ行く前に日本語をべんきょうします

日本へ行く前に、日本語をべんきょうします。

nihon e iku mae ni, nihongo o benkyou shimasu.

Before going to Japan, I study Japanese.
