How adjectives and nouns describe another noun.

An い-adjective goes directly before the noun (大きい家). A な-adjective adds な before the noun (きれいなはな). A noun + の describes another noun (日本語の本). Like a clause, the describing word always sits before the noun.
Examples (उदाहरणहरू)
あれは大きい家です。
are wa ookii ie desu.
That is a big house.
これはきれいなはなです。
kore wa kirei na hana desu.
This is a pretty flower.
それは日本語の本です。
sore wa nihongo no hon desu.
That is a Japanese(-language) book.
