Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)

Adding 「もらいます」to the て-form expresses "I receive the favor of someone doing something." The person doing the favor is marked by 「に」, and the one who benefits (me) is the topic. It carries the sense of "I had them do it for me / it was done for me."

Examples (उदाहरणहरू)

ともだち買ってもらいます

私はともだちに本を買ってもらいます。

watashi wa tomodachi ni hon o katte moraimasu.

I have my friend buy me a book.

日本語おしえてもらいます

私は母に日本語をおしえてもらいます。

watashi wa haha ni nihongo o oshiete moraimasu.

I have my mother teach me Japanese.

先生名前書いてもらいました

私は先生に名前を書いてもらいました。

watashi wa sensei ni namae o kaite moraimashita.

I had the teacher write my name.
