Passive Form
- 1 受身形（1グループ） ukemikei (1 guruupu) Passive form — Group 1 The form for something being done to you by someone else — Group 1.
- 2 受身形（2グループ） ukemikei (2 guruupu) Passive form — Group 2 The form for something being done to you by someone else — Group 2.
- 3 受身形（3グループ） ukemikei (3 guruupu) Passive form — Group 3 (irregular) Only two verbs: します → されます, 来ます → 来られます.
- 4 N1は N2に + 受身形 N1 wa N2 ni + ukemikei Someone did it to me The person who does it takes に, the person it happens to takes は.
- 5 N(もの)が/は + 受身形 N (mono) ga / wa + ukemikei Passive with a thing as subject When who did it does not matter — used for facts, news and notices.
- 6 N1は N2に よって + 受身形 N1 wa N2 ni yotte + ukemikei Naming the maker or creator When you name the person who made or discovered it, use に よって.
