〜に〜があります (~ ni ~ ga arimasu) — there is (a thing)

The basic way to say an inanimate thing exists in a place.

Formula (सूत्र ढाँचा)

ばしょ + に + N + が + あります

Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)

Meaning

To say a non-living thing exists somewhere — "there is a TV in the room" — use place + に, thing + が, then あります: へやにテレビがあります.
As in Lesson 9, the thing takes が.

Versus what you know

The に here matters — in Lesson 6 a place where an action happens took で (レストランで食べます).
But あります／います do no action, they only say "to be there", so the place takes に, never で ❌.

Watch out

あります is only for non-living things (TV, books, buildings) and plants; for people and animals use います.

へやにテレビがあります。

heya ni terebi ga arimasu.

There is a TV in the room.

How it is built (कसरी बन्यो) The place へや (room) ──> あります only means "to be there" ➔ [ で ❌ ] [ + に ✅ ] ──> へやに ──> テレビ ──> [ + が ] ──> [ + あります ] ──> There is a TV in the room.

つくえの上に本があります。

つくえのうえにほんがあります。

There is a book on the desk.

あそこにコンビニがあります。

asoko ni konbini ga arimasu.

There is a convenience store over there.

How it is built (कसरी बन्यो) The place あそこ (over there) ──> [ + に ✅ ] ──> あそこに ──> コンビニ ──> [ + が ] ──> [ + あります ] ──> There is a convenience store over there.
