N1からN2まで (N1 kara N2 made) — from N1 to N2
The pair that marks a start and an end — of time or place.
Formula (सूत्र ढाँचा)
Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)
「から」means "from" (a starting point) and 「まで」means "to / until" (an end point). Both work for time and place. Example: 九時から五時まではたらきます = "I work from nine to five." You don't always need both — から alone or まで alone is fine too.

Knowledge check (मिनी ज्ञान जाँच)
Question: 1/3Which correctly says "from nine to five"?
💡 Hint: から = from, まで = to.
Start with 九時から, then 五時まで.
Which sentence says "I work from 9 to 5"?
💡 Hint: から marks the starting point and まで marks the ending point.
から = "from" (start), まで = "until" (end), so 「9時から 5時まで」means "from 9 to 5". Using から on both sides, or swapping the order, is wrong. に marks a single point in time, not a range.
Fill the blank: うち_えきまで ("from home to the station")
💡 Hint: Which marks the start point?
うちからえきまで — から at the start, まで at the end.
