「どうですか」asks "how is it?" — seeking an opinion or impression. The pattern is 「Nは どうですか」. Example: 日本語はどうですか (nihongo wa dou desu ka) = "How is Japanese?" The answer is usually an adjective, e.g. とてもおもしろいです (it's very interesting). It is also used to offer something (e.g. "How about some tea?").
