— which says the client 'came' (honorific)?
💡 Hint:田中様 is an outsider — raise his action.
お見えになる is the honorific for 来る. まいる is humble, only for your own coming; 拝見/申し上げる are humble 'see/say'.
(shop notice) — which makes the polite request on a notice?
💡 Hint:A notice: the other person's action, the direct level.
ご + N + 願います = 'please refrain' on notices and forms. ご遠慮申し上げます/いたします would mean 'I refrain'; いただければ needs と思います after it.
(email to a client) — which says 'I sincerely apologize'?
💡 Hint:Your own company's action, extra polite.
お/ご〜申し上げる is the extra-polite お〜する, used for apologies and greetings; おわび願います would ask THEM to apologize.
— which makes the hesitant request at work?
💡 Hint:ば-form + と思います; the humble 'receive' at work.
〜ていただければと思います is the soft work request; もらえれば is friend-level and sounds casual to a manager; 願えます is not a ば-form.
— which is the polite 'regarding the delivery date'?
💡 Hint:The まして form of について; think of the verb つく.
についまして does not exist; におきまして is 'at (a place/time)', といたしまして is 'as'.
Which sentence is unnatural?
💡 Hint:In front of a customer, is your colleague in-group or out-group?
Never honor your own colleague (いらっしゃる) before a customer — say 田中は席を外しております. The other three pair correctly.
Which sentence is unnatural?
💡 Hint:Whose action does 申し上げる describe?
お/ご〜申し上げる is humble, only for your own action; for the customer say ご説明くださいました. The other three are correct.
A friend calls and you need to say 'hang on a sec' — which?
💡 Hint:Who are you talking to, and where?
Every form in this lesson is for clients and customers; 願えます to a friend sounds like a shop announcement — plain 待って is right.
