When to use it
- A soft way to look for something in a shop or ask directions.
- Nepali "कलम छैन र?" sounds gentler than "कलम छ कि?" — exactly the same feel.
Meaning
Add か to ありません (there is not) to get 〜ありませんか (isn't there…?): この近くにコンビニはありませんか (Isn't there a convenience store near here?).
How to attach
- Build it: あります ──> drop ます ──> ありません ──> か.
- For people or animals, いませんか.
