When to use it
When someone asks "Where is the toilet?", the toilet is already known, so it becomes the topic with は.
Meaning
- Same idea, different starting point: thing + は, then place + に + あります.
- トイレはあそこにあります (The toilet is over there).
How to attach
- に ✅ on the place stays.
- The short form from Lesson 3, トイレはあそこです, is also fine.
Versus what you know
The earlier pattern (〜に〜があります) answers "what is there?"; this one answers "where is it?".
