(N wa ~ ni arimasu) — N is located at

Saying where a known inanimate thing is located.

Formula (सूत्र ढाँचा)

N known thing
topic
Place place
あります is

Grammar rule (व्याकरण नियम र परिभाषा)

Where the earlier pattern introduces a new thing's existence, 「N は 〜に あります」tells where an already-known inanimate thing is located. The thing becomes the topic, so it takes は (not が), followed by the place + に あります. e.g. トイレは あそこに あります (toire wa asoko ni arimasu) = 'The toilet is over there.'

toire wa asoko ni arimasu.

hon wa tsukue no ue ni arimasu.
