て-form
- 1 動詞のグループ 1・2・3 doushi no guruupu 1 2 3 Verb Groups 1, 2, 3 Before making the te-form, learn to sort verbs into three groups.
- 2 て-形 te-kei the te-form Requests, ongoing actions, joining sentences — this form is the key to all of them.
- 3 〜てください -te kudasai please do ~ The pattern for politely asking someone to do something.
- 4 〜ています -te imasu action in progress The pattern for an action happening right now — "I am ~ing."
- 5 〜ましょうか -mashou ka Shall I / shall we ~? A polite way to offer help or suggest doing something together.
