The negative reply to a 「〜ですか」 question is いいえ、そうじゃありません — 'no, that's not right'. It is simply the negative of そうです. You may add the correct thing after it, e.g. いいえ、そうじゃありません。お茶です。 In very formal writing it becomes ではありません.

「学生ですか。」「いいえ、そうじゃありません。」
"gakusei desu ka." "iie, sou ja arimasen."
"Are you a student?" "No, that's not right."
「これはコーヒーですか。」「いいえ、そうじゃありません。お茶です。」
