— fill the blank.
💡 Hint:A period comes before it, not an event.
この/ここ + period + というもの = for that whole time. てからというもの only follows an event in Vて.
— fill the blank.
💡 Hint:The form after Vて meaning 'ever since, all the time'.
Vて + からというもの = after that event things changed, and they still are that way.
— fill the blank.
💡 Hint:An official notice — 'as of this date, it ends'.
を境に describes a before/after change, not an announced ending.
(to a friend) 「今日___、夜更かしはやめる!」— fill the blank.
💡 Hint:A personal vow — 'today is the last time, never again'.
A firm personal decision → 今日を限りに. をもちまして is only for official announcements — not to a friend.
— fill the blank.
💡 Hint:'In such a special situation' — formal.
Special situation + にあっては = precisely in such a situation. を機に means a chance for a new start — it does not fit a disaster.
— fill the blank.
💡 Hint:The partner of 「から」, meaning 'even that far!'.
A から B に至るまで = even as far as something unexpected like B (hobbies). を皮切りに needs a series that spreads — it does not fit here.
— fill the blank.
💡 Hint:The first shop, then one after another.
A first one + spreading を境に only marks a before/after difference, not a series.
— fill the blank.
💡 Hint:Something you started yourself, using a turning point as your chance.
A turning point + your own new step → を機に. を境に is followed by a state that differs before and after, not a chosen step.
