🔒
— fill the blank.
💡 Hint:A neutral guess drawn from a clue or evidence.
N + からすると = judging from this evidence (a guess, かもしれない). にしたら puts you in a person's shoes — 話し方 is not a person.
— fill the blank.
💡 Hint:'To begin with, starting from this' + criticism.
N + からして = starting with this one thing (the rest is worse), followed by a negative judgement. にしてみれば imagines a person's feelings and cannot take 予算.
— fill the blank.
💡 Hint:Paper versus reality — the 上 read じょう.
N + の + 上では (じょう) = on paper, followed by 'but in reality'. 上で (うえで) means 'after carefully doing' (Vた + 上で) — wrong meaning and wrong attachment here.
— fill the blank.
💡 Hint:Not exactly that, but practically the same.
N + も同然だ = as good as. よりましだ would say 'better than new' — the lesser of two evils, which does not fit; で当然だ would mean 'naturally new'.
— which says 'still better than that'?
💡 Hint:Neither is good, but this one is less bad.
Dictionary form + より(は)ましだ = better than that / at least. も同然だ would say 'as good as having no job' — the opposite of the consolation けれど sets up.
Which sentence is unnatural?
💡 Hint:What alone can come before にしたら?
にしたら attaches only to people (店長にしたら) — never to a thing like 問題. 外国人から見ると can take a person directly, and 健康上 is a proper 上 noun.
Which sentence is unnatural?
💡 Hint:Can a person come directly before からいうと?
からいうと cannot take a person directly — say 私の立場からいうと or 私の考えからいうと. からすると, からして and 表面上 are all fine.
A junior says 'I was late again and the manager yelled at me'. To say 'you had that coming', which form?
💡 Hint:The deserved result of one's own action — the feeling of 当たり前.
Vて + 当然だ = the deserved consequence of one's deeds. もっともだ says another person's feeling or decision is justified (店長が怒るのももっともだ) — not the one being scolded.
